Display Boxes or Retail-Ready Packaging are types of secondary packaging used as displays in stores. 

The key feature that makes these packages usable in stores can be created in two different ways, which impact both the choice of raw material to be used and the packaging machine that will have to recreate the package during the secondary packaging stage. 

Display boxes can consist of: 

• a separate tray and lid 
• a unique die cut with custom-made pre-cuts 

In the first case, is necessary to use a case packing machine capable of handling both the phase of inserting products into trays and the subsequent phase of adding lids to each package.
