What are the advantages of packaging in wrap-around cases compared to American (RSC) cases?

The main advantages of packaging in wrap-around cases compared to American (RSC) cases are:

• Wrap-around case packers can reach much higher speeds than American case packers.
• For certain case dimensions, wrap-around cases may be cheaper than American cases due to the smaller quantity of carton required.
• In the same length of packaging magazine, it is possible to store twice as many wrap around cases compared to American (RSC) cases (and therefore the interval between two refills of the magazine by the operator doubles for wrap-around cases) since the wrap-around case die is flat, while the American (RSC) case die is double folded, occupying double the amount of space in the magazine.
